Introduction
The Benedictine nun Dorothy Arundell wrote a ‘Life of Father Cornelius the Martyr’, her account of a priest whom the Arundell family tried to hide but who was caught and executed in 1594. Her manuscript is reported to survive in the Vatican Archives (*ArD 1).
